• Veterinary Doctor

Role Overview

The Veterinary Doctor will play a key role in ensuring the health and well-being of dairy cattle on large-scale farms. The Veterinary Doctor will diagnose and treat illnesses, oversee preventative health programs, and manage reproductive health. The role also involves optimizing nutrition and milk production, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and local regulations. The ideal candidate will work closely with farm staff to provide training and ensure the highest standards of animal care and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Reproductive Health:
  Identify and treat reproductive conditions.
  Oversee calving and provide neonatal support.
• Nutrition and Productivity:
  Work with nutrition experts to improve feeding strategies.
  Track milk output and recommend methods to boost both quantity and quality.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  Keep thorough, up-to-date medical records for all livestock.
  Generate and share regular health and performance updates with management.
• Training and Education:
  Instruct farm personnel on proper animal care, health checks, and hygiene practices.
  Lead workshops or training sessions to support ongoing learning.
• Emergency Response:
  Act swiftly in urgent situations such as birthing complications, injuries, or disease outbreaks.
  Carry out surgical interventions when necessary.
• Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
  Ensure all procedures align with veterinary laws and internal farm guidelines.
  Support and follow established safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in veterinary
• Minimum 5+ years of experience and 2-3 years of experience in GCC Country
